The purpose of this report is to provide potential investors with basic information on elements of the political system and principles of decision-making in Kazakhstan. The information contained in the report is intended to familiarise potential investors with the basic political aspects of investing in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is very popular with investors because of its wealth of natural resources and its successful macroeconomic stabilisation. The country has a well-developed legal and regulatory framework which supports market reforms. A significant part of the report is devoted to the legal aspects of doing business in Kazakhstan, and it covers the structure of the different branches of power – legislative, executive, and judicial. An overview of the structure of the Government and the major ministries if also included.
