Primary Auctions The Finance Ministry cancelled the sixth issue of Dollar-denominated 6-month T-bills on 17 May following receipt of all the bids. According to a ministry spokesman, this was because the prices asked by the participants were not acceptable to the issuer. *** At an auction of Dollar-denominated 3-month T-bills held on 18 May, the average yield remained at 7.41%. The issuer raised USD 2.811m of the planned USD 3m. As a result of the week ending 21 May, the Finance Ministry raised USD 2.8m (KZT331.5m at the official exchange rate on 18 May 1999), with the planned volume being USD 5.0m; the repaid sum was KZT 546.6m (IRBIS) Latest issues of 3-month T-bills
