The week of 3-7 May was marked by the continuous growth of the Dollar on the KASE. On Monday, 3 May, the average Tenge/Dollar exchange rate was KZT 115.19 and the traded volume was USD 8,205,000. During subsequent sessions of the week, the Tenge decreased in value against the Dollar to KZT 118.11 on Friday, 7 May. That day the traded volumes of Dollars reached a maximum of USD 27,950,000. The National Bank Tenge/Dollar exchange rate was lowered accordingly from KZT 114.50 per USD 1 on Monday to KZT 117.00 on Friday.

Deutsche Marks were traded only one day, on 6 May, at an average rate of KZT 64.20 per DM 1. The traded volume was DM 25,000.

No transaction was concluded for Euros. (IRBIS)
