From 1-5 March, the U.S. Dollar was traded in the range of KZT 86.60-87.00 on the Almaty Financial Instrument Exchange (AFINEX). The Tenge, therefore, fell by 40 points. The currency market activated notably over the period. The daily traded volume reached USD 7,460,000 on Monday, 1 March but then decreased gradually until the end of the week. The minimal traded volume, USD 1,110,000, was reported on Friday. (IRBIS)
