The average yield on the latest auction of 6-month T-bills held on 22 February was steady at 24.69%. The placed volumeKZT 335m (USD 4.06m)was below the planned KZT 400m.

Compound Yields vs. Volumes at Primary Auctions of 6-month T-bills

The demand for 3-month T-bills was high again at the auction on 23 February. The Finance Ministry, therefore, took the opportunity to keep the average yield unchanged. The volume raised exceeded the target of KZT 600m by merely KZT 75m.
The result of the week that ended on 26 February was positive for the Finance Minister. The Ministry raised a total of KZT 1,010.2m and it paid back KZT 881.6m. (IRBIS)
