From 8-12 February, the lowest rate of the U.S. Dollar was KZT 85.10 on the Almaty Financial Instrument Exchange (AFINEX). The highest rate, KZT 85.50, was reached at the end of the session on Friday 12 February. That day, the traded volume was USD 70,000. The entire week was characterised by rather low daily traded volumes with a maximum of USD 535,000 on Monday and a minimum of USD 50,000 on Tuesday. Some large buyers of dollars have switched to the interbank market.
