The Tenge/Dollar exchange rate fluctuated between 85.00 and 85.15 on Monday through Wednesday on the AFINEX. The daily traded volumes dropped to USD 25,000 on Wednesday as the cash dollar market was dull. On Thursday the demand for dollars resumed to USD 4,325,000 and the National Bank met the demand at a rate of KZT 85.15-85.20 per one Dollar. At the end of the session on Friday, the Tenge/Dollar rate fell to 85.25 and the traded volume decreased again to USD 735,000.
