During the week of 19-23 April the U.S. Dollar was traded at a low of KZT 113.52 and at a high of KZT 114.50 on the KASE. The week was generally characterised by an increased demand for dollars. The traded volumes fluctuated between USD 6,605,000 and USD 9,224,000.
Several transactions were reported for Deutsche Marks. This currency was traded at an average rate of KZT 61.90-62.10 per DM 1. The total traded volume reached DM 75,000.
On Tuesday, 20 April, there were trades of Euros as well. The average rate was KZT 120.80/Euro 1 and the traded volume was Euro 10,000.
From 24-26 April the National Bank set out the following Tenge rates: KZT 114.5/USD 1; KZT 123.66/Euro; KZT 63.23/DM 1. (IRBIS)
