The common and preferred shares in Kazakhmys Corporation continued to be in demand on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) last week. On 9 April, seven transaction were concluded for the preferred shares amounting to KZT 97,910 with the price ranging between KZT 150-350 per one share. There were five transactions for common shares totalling KZT 285,700.
Also, the state block of shares in a Shymkent transport company (a bus pool) was sold on the KASE last week. It was made up of 32,976 common shares each with a face value of KZT 1,000. Those shares were sold at KZT 10 per share. (IRBIS)
