The Tenge/Dollar rate didn't change much from 83.25 per one Dollar during the week of 7-11 December on the Almaty Financial Instrument Exchange (AFINEX). It rose to 83.33 at the start of the session on Friday and closed at 83.30 the same day. The daily traded volumes reached their peak at USD 4,965,000 on Friday. The auctions of last week were remarkable in that many banks were selling dollars as they encountered a temporary shortage of Tenge.

Deutsche Marks were traded once at the end of the week. The traded volume was DM 70,000. (AFINEX)
