Between September 28 and October 2 the Dollar price at closure on the Almaty Financial Instrument Exchange (AFINEX) increased from 80.40 to 80.71. The minimum traded volume, USD 30,000, was reported on Thursday, September 1. That day both sellers and buyers didn't want to give up each other. The former wanted to sell at 80.70 whereas the latter were seeking Dollars for no more than 80.61. On Friday, however, the Tenge closed at 80.71 and the traded volume soared to USD 6,380,000. Deutsche Marks were traded only once, at the end of the session. The traded volume was 25,000.
