The week of September 25 - October 2 didn't differ much from the previous week on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE). Common shares in Kazkommertsbank were traded once with the price per share unchangedKZT 80 (about USD 1). The number of shares traded decreased to 1,407 from 2,120 during the previous week.
The OTC market was quite dull. Sixty-seven transactions were concluded for preferred shares in Kazakhtelecom with prices fluctuating significantly from a minimum of USD 8 to a maximum of USD 18.7. One transaction was closed for preferred shares in the oil company Karazhanbasmunai: 13,603 shares were sold for KZT 1,656.13 (USD 20.65) per share.
