From September 14 to 18, the Tenge/Dollar rate fluctuated between 79.98 and 79.70 per $ at the Almaty Financial Instrument Exchange (AFINEX). Trades were calm with traded volumes slashed dramatically compared to those on the previous rush week. Banks were only seeking dollars for low prices which resulted in a minimum traded volume of USD 225,000 in the middle of the week. The highest traded volume, USD 4,215,000, was reported on Tuesday.
One transaction for Deutsche Marks in the amount of 5,000 was closed on Monday, September 14.
