According to the Almaty Financial Instrument Exchange (AFINEX), the Dollar/Tenge rate went from 77.60 to 77.80 during the period from July 31 to August 7. Very few brokers participated in trades, and the traded volumes were low. After a long break, interest in the Deutsche Mark resumed with a minimum rate reported at 43.40 and a maximum rate at 44.01. Traded volumes of DM fluctuated between 25,000 and 110,000.
