The average yield on a 3-month T-bill issue fell to 17.23% at an auction held on August 4. Non-residents accounted for only 4% of the bids and none of these actually materialised.

The average yield on the latest 6-month T-bill issue slipped to 17.63% at an auction on August 3. According to the Ministry of Finance, no bids were filed by non-residents.
