One trade was reported on the non-listing board (QTSQuotation Trade System) of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) last week. Ten common shares in the Almaty company Etalon were sold at KZT92,000 (US $1,190) per share.

On the OTC market not covered with the QTS, shares in Kazakhmys (former Jezkazgan Non-ferrous Metal Plant) continued to decline with a dramatic fall by almost 83% to US $3.1 reported on July 23. The day before, shares in Kazchrom rose suddenly by 83.3% to US $51.7. This resulted in the KS index of 112.03 on July 23.
